Jeanette F. Collen

Guilderland- Jeanette F. Collen of Guilderland, went home to be with Jesus after a long illness. Jeanette was the daughter of the late David and Ruth LaMontain of Long Island, NY.

Jeanette was married to Frank Canceleno, Sr deceased in 1964 and then married the love of her life, Ralph Collen in 1971 who passed away in 2016. Jeanette was devoted to her faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and whoever she met knew without question that God loved them. She was the best encourager and hugger. If you had the privilege of receiving a hug from Jeanette, you would never forget it. Jeanette's family and friendships were everything to her. The sweet time of fellowship with her friends and precious treasured memories she could make with her family, were the highlights of her days. Jeanette was an entrepreneur for many years and later worked for FEMA for 25 years.

Jeanette is predeceased by her husband, Ralph Collen, her siblings, Ruth, Helen, Bertha (Sue), David, Patricia,son in law Edward, and grandchild Matthew.

Jeanette is survived by her children, Cheryl Savoie, Linda Somersall (Paul), Frank Canceleno, Jr, (Bonita) and Donald Collen, (Jill), along with several precious grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The memorial service for Jeanette will be held Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner, Road, Colonie, NY 12205, from 4-6 pm.
