Jeanette M. Poole

COHOES, NY – Jeanette M. Poole, 87, died peacefully on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at the Eddy Village Green in Cohoes. She was born in Cohoes on September 24, 1922 and was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Alvina Forant. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Thomas B. Poole. Jeanette was a graduate of Cohoes High School. She was employed by the Burnt Hills Schools, Charlton School for girls, and more recently, at Union College from where she retired. Jeanette loved cooking, gardening, day trips, her pets, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her beloved children, Margaret (Suzanne Latimer) Cernik, Ryan (Sheila) Poole and Maryanne (Steve) DiDonato. She is the cherished grandmother of Amanda, Neal, Alex, James, Claire, Steven and Olivia. Jeanette will truly be missed by her children and grandchildren. Our many thanks go out to the staff of Eddy Village Green for all they have done in caring for our mother.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Waterford. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Waterford. Memorial contributions would be appreciated to the Eddy Village Green, 421 Columbia Street, Cohoes, NY 12047 in memory of Jeanette M. Poole.
