COLONIE – Jeanne C. Giminiani, 78, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2006 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Jeanne was born on October 8, 1928 in Albany and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Black Thompson. She was the head bookkeeper for A & P in Albany for many years. After her retirement from A & P, she worked for the Albany Bowling Association and St. Anne's Institute. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church and enjoyed bowling, bocce ball, traveling, bingo and going on casino trips.
Jeanne is survived by her children, Stephen B. Giminiani, Sr. (Kelly), Michael N. Giminiani (Kelly Ann), Patricia M. Gabriel (Alfred), Nicholas J. Giminiani (Deborah) and Cynthia M. Giminiani (Stephen Starks); her grandchildren, Stephen Giminiani, Jr., Dominique Gabriel, Gino Giminiani, Joseph Giminiani, Brandon Giminiani, Amanda Gabriel, Zachary Gabriel, Samuel Starks, Dylan Giminiani, Ryan Giminiani, Kyle Giminiani, Kayla Giminiani and Nicholas Starks; her brothers and sister, Ronald Thompson (Frances), Grace Ryan, Wayne Thompson (Jean) and Ralph Thompson (Joanne) and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 39 years, Dominic A. Giminiani, her brother, Merle Thompson and her sister, Shirley Thompson.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Blessed Sacrament Church, corner of Central Avenue and Colby Street, Albany. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. Calling hours will be held at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Expression of sympathy may be sent to www.newcomerfamily.com
