ALBANY, NY – Jeanne E. Feeley, 87, passed peacefully into the Lord's hands on Thursday, May 1, 2008 at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center. Born March 8, 1921, she worked and lived in Albany her entire life. Jeanne was witty, well spoken and out spoken. She raised her family with the same principles she lived by; love, truth and the unprejudiced abilities to accept others from the inside out. Jeanne is survived by her loving daughter, Dina Bartholomew and companion, Shauneen Kuczek; her dear granddaughter, Tara and her husband, Santone Allen and her precious great-grandchildren, Amoni, Ariana, Aaliyah and Santone Jr. Also surviving is her (favorite) son-in-law, Darrell Thomas and her sisters, Elizabeth (Lil) Stevens and Rosemary Graham. Jeanne will now join her beloved and devoted daughter, Karen Thomas who predeceased her on January 10, 2006. She was also predeceased by Ernest E. Bartholomew and three siblings, Mary Mackey, John Feeley and Eileen Fitzgerald. The family wished to send our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Daughters of Sarah, specifically, but not solely to Sandy, Roz, Pam and the Red Unit and all of those who cared for Jeanne from the heart. Also a special thank you is extended to the Community Hospice of Albany.
Funeral services will be Monday evening at 6:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will precede the service from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Albany in memory of Jeanne.
