Jeanne E. Gimondo

ALBANY – Jeanne E. Gimondo, 67, of Albany, passed naturally and peacefully from this world to a world of peace and love forever on Thursday October 10, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Joseph B. and Amelia M. Gimondo.
Jeanne was born June 27, 1946 in Albany. She was raised on Trinity Place in Albany and graduated from Albany High School. Jeanne worked as a Court Stenographer for the Albany City Court. She was an election officer for Albany County. Jeanne enjoyed ceramics, floral designing and was an animal lover. Jeanne had a great sense of humor. She enjoyed keeping her brother Joey company while he ran errands for work. Jeanne always had a smile and kind word for all that she met. Jeanne was a devout catholic and loved God above all.
Jeanne was predeceased by her longtime companion, Anthony Malecca. She is the dear sister of Joseph D. Gimondo (Deborah) and Joanne M. (LTC Ret. William R.) Braddock. Jeanne is the aunt of Joseph, Jason and Stephanie Gimondo and Nicole Motsek. She is the niece of Eda, Yolanda, Rosie, Dominick, Nicholas (Ann), Frankie, Jimmy and Josephine. Jeanne is also survived by several cousins. She will be missed by her Kitty Kats, Patches and Midnite.
Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 10:00 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, NY 12144 in memory of Jeanne E. Gimondo.
