Jeannie F. Farinella, 79, beloved wife of Nicholas Farinella of 63 years, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Albany Medical Center with her family by her side.
Born on June 25, 1942, in Albany NY, she was daughter to the late William and Emma Smith.
Jeannie was a devoted wife and homemaker, which she loved to do and it came naturally to her. Jeannie and Nick loved spending time together, no matter where they were, and one of her greatest treasures was spending time with her family and loved ones. She enjoyed dancing with her friends at DeeDee's and visiting the casinos. Wherever Jeannie went she made a lasting impression with her infectious smile.
She is survived by her beloved husband Nicholas Farinella, son Mark (Cara) Farinella, daughters, Tamara Farinella (Ricky Beckman), Dawn (Walter) Falzo, Kimberly (Tom Falzo) Farinella, granddaughter Jennifer Ring, and their grandson Nicholas Nelson; several nieces and nephews whom she loved, and loved her dearly; and her two half-brothers.
In addition to her parents, Jeannie was predeceased by her sisters Alverda, Mable, Doris, and her brother Clarence Smith.
Family and friends are invited to attend Calling Hours on Monday, June 13, 2022 from 10:00am – 1:00pm, at New Comer Cremations and Funerals located at 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie NY. Interment will follow with a graveside prayer service at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3rd Ave Ext, Rensselaer, NY 12144.
