Jeannine M. Schneider

Schenectady- Jeannine M. Schneider, 77, passed away at home on Sunday, July 21, 2024. Born in Staten Island, NY she was the daughter of the late William and Mae F. Larson. Jeannine is survived by her husband of 50 years, Leonard W. Schneider Jr.

Jeannine had a few jobs over her working career before retiring from the NYS Department of Health at the Wadsworth Center. She was also a Sr. Lab Animal Caretaker and also. She had an amazing talent as a dog groomer. She would groom dogs for show. Over her life she raised Poodles, Shih Zhu’s, Japanese Chin and Schipperke’s.

In addition to her husband, Jeannine is survived by her two sons Brian Schneider and Jason Schneider Sr. She was loving grandmother to Alexandria (Schneider) Glasser, Camryn Schneider, Brielle Schneider, and Jillian Schneider. She is also survived by her grandson and favorite fishing buddy Jason Schneider Jr.

She will also be missed by her nieces and nephews and their children.

Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to Schenectady Animal Protective Foundation located at 53 Maple Avenue in Schenectady.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024 from 10am-12pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205. A graveside will be held on Monday the 29th at 11am at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
