Jeffrey David Bogardus, 39, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, October 5, 2011. Jeffrey worked at Phillips Medical Systems as a welder/team leader. He was an avid motorcyclist, loved target practice and was an auto enthusiast. Jeffrey's infectious smile and magnetic personality touched the hearts of all who knew him. Jeffrey was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, William (Marjorie) Bogardus and his maternal grandfather, Alfred Snyder.
Jeffrey is survived by his father; David (Joan) Bogardus; his mother, Diane Cottone; his wife and best friend for over 20 years, Gina Sbardella-Bogardus; his brother Rich (Alexis) Bogardus; his step-sister, Kayti Aviano; his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Snyder; his nephews Brody and Aidan; his cherished canine companions who he rescued, Ariah, Nicky and Minnie. He is also survived by his father and mother-in-law, Leo (Carol) Sbardella, five brother-in-laws; Leo (Dana), Joseph (Tammy), Michael (Jamie), Steven (Christine) and John (Whitney), several aunts, uncles, nephews, a niece and many close family members and friends. He will truly be missed by all.

Funeral services will be Monday at 8 am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie then to St. Clare's Church, Colonie where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9am. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 6 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the Mass at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
