Jeffrey Jaeger

COLONIE_ Jeffrey Jaeger, 55, passed away unexpectedly on September 12, 2016.

He was born on December 16, 1960 to William Jaeger and the late Shirley Bumbaco in Nyack, NY. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. Jeff worked as a chief engineer in several hotels throughout the Albany area including, Quality Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Ramada and the Crown Plaza. On October 20, 2001 he married his soul mate and best friend, Laura D'Ambrosy.

Jeff was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved to smoke food and feed the entire neighborhood in his "man cave". Jeff was always up for company. He had a game or NASCAR race on, his classic rock tunes going and something on the smoker. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing and will be very dearly missed by his family, friends and...the entire neighborhood.

Jeffrey is survived by his loving wife, Laura Jaeger; his children, Vincent Jaeger, Alycia (Jason Alcorace) Jaeger; grandchildren, Johnathan, Kai, Aurora, Danica; father, William Jaeger; brothers, Michael Jaeger,Eddie Bumbaco.; sister, Tracey (George) Berger; mothers and fathers-in-law, Frank and Christine D'Ambrosy and Richard and Judith Rowe; brothers-in-law, Brock Rowe, Brian (Jen) Rowe, Robert Lyng; sister-in-law, Tina (Patrick) Hayes and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Edward and Shirley Bumbaco.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at New Comer Funeral Home from 11am - 1pm. A Memorial Service for Jeff will be held on Saturday at 1 pm at New Comer Funeral Home following visitation. Graveside services will be held on Monday, September 19, 2016 at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
