Niverville- Jeffry Paul Lasher,77, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend passed away on September 9, 2016.
He was born on August 29, 1939 in Albany, NY where he lived most of his life.
He worked for Albany County, retiring after 20 years.
Jeff's passion was music and singing. He was the founder and singer of the Original Rhythms King's in the 1960's.
He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Karen Lasher, his children; Todd (Karen) Lasher, Marcy Lasher, Lisa (Joe) Tomasino, Kelly (Mike) Brozowski, Michael (Carrie) Lasher, Terri Gilroy, Scott McCormick, his beloved god-daughter, Zola Quarterman, his sister, Barbara Jean (Jim) Pulver. Jeff has 13 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
Jeff is predeceased by his grandson, Jason Sanchez.
Calling hours will be held at The House of Praise, 1688 Rt. 9, Castleton, NY 12033, on Thursday, September 15, 2016 from 5:00pm-7:00pm with a memorial service to immediately follow. A brief prayer service will be held at the church on Friday, September 16, 2016 at 11:00am, and a burial will be held at Albany Rural Cemetery.
