Jeffrey A. Taber

Schenectady- Jeffrey A. Taber, 62, passed away on March 14, 2017. Born in Schenectady, NY on April 15, 1954, he was the son of Irene (Michalski) Taber and the late Francis K. Taber, Sr. For most of his life, Jeff was the proud owner and operator of Jeff Taber's 24HR Road Service. He was most recently employed by T&T Towing in Cohoes. Jeff was heavily involved in the local racecar scene. For years, he supported his son, granddaughter and many other friends in their racing ventures. Jeff spent much of his free time attending sporting events with his grandson Anthony.
In addition to his mother Irene M. Taber, Jeff is survived by his wife Donyelle Taber; his children: Amy Waldron, Eric (Tammy Provost) Taber and Patricia (Ron) Wood; his step-children: Nicole Clark and Shannon Clark; his brothers: Francis K. Taber, Jr, Gregory J. (Blanche) Taber, Thomas W. (Mary) Taber, Lawrence M. (Terri) Taber and Mark A. (Shelli) Taber; his loving grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 21 from 4pm to 7pm at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jeff's name to your local fire department.
