ALBANY – Jeffry A. Cooper, 39, of Albany, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2005 after a long courageous battle. Born in Albany, Jeff is the loving son of James A. and Frances E. Cooper. He resided in Albany for all of his life. Jeff worked in the forestry division at the Dept. of General Services in Albany. He was an avid outdoorsman and Boston Red Sox and New York Giants fan. Jeff always wanted to own a Harley, and just acquired his first one a year ago. In addition to his parents, he is the beloved husband of Lisa DiSanto Cooper. He is the devoted father of Jeffry A. Cooper, Jr., 14, Mariah L. Cooper, 11 and Dylan S. Cooper, 7. He is the cherished brother of James A. (Kate) Cooper, Jr., John A. (Donna "Donga") Cooper and Joseph A. (Sharon) Cooper. Jeff is the loving son-in-law of Anna DiSanto and the late Joseph DiSanto. He is the beloved brother-in-law of Joanne (Scott) Ferri, Joseph (Gina) DiSanto, Jr. and Michele (Paul) Celello. Jeff is the life long and very dedicated friend of Eric Williams. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends. Jeff's family would like to extend a special thank you with love to Jim and Sharon Brown for all of their caring, love and support during this long and difficult time.
Funeral services will be Wednesday morning at 8:00 at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) then to Blessed Sacrament Church at 9:00 a.m. where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont. In lieu of flowers, an education fund is being set up for the Cooper children, c/o Trustco Bank, 301 New Scotland Ave., Albany, NY 12208.
