ROTTERDAM – Jennie Blanche Vandenburg, 77, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2005 at her daughter's, Terry home, surrounded by her loving family after a long illness.
Jennie was born on October 3, 1927 in Albany and was the daughter of the late Robert and Ellen Benham Rogers. She resided in Rotterdam for the past 42 years.
Jennie is survived by her husband of 49 years, William E. Vandenburg Sr.; her children, Kenneth, Keith and Bert Marshall, Patricia Lindstead, Elizabeth (Michael) Butler, Karen Vandenburg, William (Kimberly) Vandenburg Jr., Terry (Randy) Tompkins and Jennie (Geoffrey) Lockhart; her sisters, Bertha Mollica and Ester Rogers; her brother, Edward (Joan) Rogers; her 22 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home 343 New Karner Road, Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Interment will follow at Memory's Garden in Colonie. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
