Jennifer A. Smith

COLONIE - Jennifer A. Smith, 39, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at Albany Memorial Hospital.

Born in Albany, she is the daughter of Joan M. Smith and the late Clifton G. Smith. Jenn was a graduate of Colonie High School Class of 1993 and Siena College and went to work in the insurance industry for most of her career. She enjoyed gardening, biking and taking her dog, Tucker for walks. Among her proudest achievements were climbing Mt. Marcy and completing a half marathon with her brother Greg.

In addition to her loving mother, Jenn is survived by her brothers, Douglas W. (Heather) of Texas and Greg (Tracey) of Colonie; her uncle, William Smith and sons, Chad (Jo Ellen) and Clarke (Casey); her aunt, Mary French and sons, Mark (Angela) and Scott (Joey); her aunt, Shirley (Peter) DeStefano. She was also predeceased by her uncle Gary French.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 9 to 11 a.m. on Friday. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Albany.
