Jenny Pigliavento
June 24, 1922 — August 27, 2016
Guilderland - Jenny Pigliavento, 94, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2016, with her loving family by her side. Jenny was the daughter of the late Enrico and Grace Ciarallo, and was the devoted wife to the late Joseph Pigliavento. They were married for 51 years.
Jenny enjoyed attending Bright Horizons senior center, and was known as "The Bingo Queen". She enjoyed going out to dinners, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She will be forever missed by her children: Dorothy Pigliavento, and James (Ruby) Pigliavento; grandchildren: Tina Marie (Eric) Nordstrom, James Joseph (Kim) Pigliavento, Michael Pigliavento, and Matthew (Niki) Pigliavento; great grandchildren: Ross Adam (Darlene) Bentley, Alexander (Felecia) Bentley, Anthony Pigliavento, Talia Bentley, Gianna Pigliavento, and Devin Pigliavento; great-great grandson: Jacob (Bentley) Reaulo; In-laws: Raymond (Arlene) Pigliavento, Daniela Ciarallo, and Rose Frescatore; along with several nieces, and nephews.
In addition to her parents and beloved husband, Jenny is predeceased by her brother Louis Ciarallo.
A Calling hour for family will take place at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie, on Friday, September 2, 2016, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Paul The Apostle Church, Schenectady, on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 11:00 am. The burial will follow Mass at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Jenny's name to the sports clinic for children with special needs:
