Jenny Zuchero

COLONIE – Jenny Zuchero, 91, of Colonie, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 18, 2005, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Naples, Italy, and had been a resident of Colonie for thirty years. Mrs. Zuchero was a member of the "Silver Streakers" of Colonie Towers. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Jenny was the beloved wife of the late Dominick Zuchero. She is the devoted mother of Thomas Zuchero and his wife, Judith of Scotia and the late Elizabeth Schott and Mary Kenney. She is the cherished grandmother of Michael Schott of Colonie, Stephen Kenney of Syracuse, Patricia M. Kenney of Waterford, Nancy Bakhuizen and her husband, Gerrit of Gilbertsville and Thomas Kenney of Watervliet. She is the loving great-grandmother of Katie and Jenna Bakhuizen. Also surviving are her two sons-in-law, Charles Schott of Colonie and James Kenney of Schodack.
Funeral services will be Thursday morning at 8:00 a.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155 –south of Central Ave.) then to Blessed Sacrament Church at 9:00 a.m. where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Wednesday evening from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie. Memorial contributions may be made to the March of Dimes, Northeastern NY Chapter, 80 Wolf Road, Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Jenny Zuchero.
