Jeremy James Carroll, 20, passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 7, 2011. Jeremy was born in Schenectady to Michael Carroll and Sally Ann Westfall. He graduated from Colonie Central and worked for Amber Jack Construction with Jimmy McGuire in Colonie. Jeremy loved to ride his motorcycle, going golfing, watching the Dallas Cowboys and the Boston Red Sox, eating his grandmothers cooking and most of all spending time with his family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew him, especially his canine companion, Rex. Jeremy was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Barbara Carroll.
In addition to his parents, Jeremy is survived by his older brother, Joseph Carroll; his paternal grandfather, David Carroll, Sr.; his maternal grandparents, Philomena and Robert Brienza; his stepfather, Michael Westfall; and his stepmother, Shari Carroll. He is also survived by several Aunts, Uncles, cousins and close friends, especially the Terrille and Kiersing family.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the Colonie Police Department, the Colonie EMS and to the Midway Fire Department for their rapid response.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 8 am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, then to St. Clare's Church, Central Ave, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9am. Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 8 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Jeremy James Carroll Memorial Fund at any SEFCU location, in Jeremy's memory.
