ALBANY- Jesse Frost, 73, of Albany departed this life on June 12, 2006 after a long illness. He was born March 25, 1933 in Ridgeland, SC and was the son of the late John and Louise Frost.
Jesse worked for Adirondack Steel in Watervliet for 21 years, retiring in 1982. He was a faithful member of the Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in Albany where he served on the usher board until his illness. He attended daily Christian services at the Ann Lee Nursing Home where he resided until his departure.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife, Hattie Louise Frost; 6 children, Minister Horace (Rev. Bernice) Frost-Orange of Sylvania, GA., Linda McGriff of Albany, Deacon Jeffrey (Nadine) Frost of Centreville, VA., Renee Frost of Albany, Edith (Edward) Page of Glenmont, Steven (Margaret) Frost of Albany and the late Jessie Frost Jr. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He is the brother of Willie (Dogee) Frost of Detroit, MI., Mable Tyson of Ridgeland, SC and the late John Frost Jr., Hampton (Skeet) Frost, Suzie Addison, Betty Thompson, Louise Cook, Frances Jackson, Edna Frost and Janie Orange. He is also survived by his sister in law, Cora L. Young; his mother in law Cassie B. McDole, devoted cousin, Mother Etta Fantroy and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be Monday morning at 11:00 at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, 269 Spruce Street in Albany. A calling hour will precede the service at church from 10 to 11 am. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery.
