SCHENECTADY- Jessica K. Bender, 57, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 18, 2018, with her mother and sister by her side.
Jessica was born in Albany, NY on July 14, 1961 to Charles and Mary Bender. Jessica's passion in life was her family. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her father, Charles H. Bender, her partner, Alfred Salisbury, and her brother, Joseph Ferguson.
She is survived by her children, Amanda, Charles, and Jason Salisbury, her mother, Mary Bender, her sister, Elizabeth (Patricia Bollock) Shutter, her brothers, Wallace (Lulu) and William(Robin) Ferguson, her uncle, John (Rosalie) Claughsey, and her dear cousin, Patricia Thompson.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205, on Monday (11/26/18), from 4:00pm-7:00pm. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at All Saints Catholic Church, 16 Homestead St, Albany, NY 12203(next to CVS), at 9:00am on Tuesday (11/27/18). Burial will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie, NY.
The family would like to thank Father Tallman, and the doctors and nurses who cared for Jessica at St. Peter's Hospital for their care and compassion.
