Jessica J. Roberts

ALBANY, NY – Jessica J. Roberts, 23, died on Thursday, January 8, 2009 after complications of Cystic Fibrosis. Jessica was a very talented artist. Her goal was to design fashion and tattoos. She was very happy and proud to maintain her own apartment in Ballston Spa. Jessica had a very spunky and spontaneous personality. She loved music, animals and drawing. She was active in Cystic Fibrosis Marathons and fundraising. Jessica is loved by all of her family and friends and will be greatly missed. Jessica is the beloved granddaughter of Joann "Mammy" Stefanik of Albany and John "Papa" Stefanik of Albany. She is the daughter of Joann (Stephen) Cummins of Lansingburg and John Roberts of Florida. Jessica is the sister of Samantha, Amanda, Briannah and Izais. She is the loving niece of Bridget and Bob, Kathy and Jerry, Connie, Dana, Ron and Connie and William. She is the cousin of Harley, Laura, Karrie Ann, Molly and Jake. Jessica is the fiancé of Joseph "Jessie Girl" Nocian. She is the special friend of Joe Kaufman, Leslie Maxwell, Joe Benoit and Joe Holmes. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles and cousins. Jessica was predeceased by her great-grandparents, Josephine Grosbeck, Myrtle Burnash and Ronald Roberts. Jessica's family would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses, support staff and pastoral care at Albany Medical Center 5E for the special care they gave to Jessica. Also to the Albany County Visiting nurses, especially Kim. A special thanks to Bobby Heppelle for all of his fundraising activities and to all of the contributors of Jessie's Fund.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Teresa of Avila Church, Albany. Calling hours will be Sunday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be in Our Lady Help of Christians Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated to the Donna M. Crandall Foundation, 50 Traditional Lane, Loudonville, NY 12211 in memory of Jessica J. Roberts.
