Jessie James Kornegay Sr.

Albany~ Jessie James Kornegay Sr. 89, Husband of the late Mary Lee Kornegay, Albany. NY earned his wings and ascended peacefully at home on Thursday, August 19, 2021 Jessie was born on October 10, 1931 and was the son of the late Roebuck Kornegay Jr. and Lula Kornegay.

Jessie moved from Goldsboro, NC to Rensselaer, NY in company to support his family. Jessie started his own trash removal business with his son's. Jessie also worked with Shaffer's Beer Brewing Co. He then left Shaffer's to work with Tobin Packing First Prize until their closing. To provide for his family Jessie took on two jobs within two weeks. One was Good Samaritan Lutheran and Doane Stuart Home. He worked for ` Picotte Co. Albany N.Y. 0until retirement. In Jessie spare time he loved riding his Motorcycle and going fishing.

He leaves to cherish his memory his 11children Anita Harpe long Beach Ca. Bonnie Anderson,(Al) Earl Kornegay (Vivian), Fred Anderson, Annie Kornegay Rayadorf Macc Kornegay, Allen S. Kornegay, Pat T. Thomas (Michael) Daughter-in-Law Dana Kornegay all of Albany, 65 grandchildren and 117 great grand, 18 great great great grand his sister Mary King (Bristol) Griffin, GA, he is predeceased by his parents, Roebuck Kornegay and Lula Kornegay, wife Mary Louise Faison-Kornegay Sons James Kornegay, Jerry
