Jewell Godin

ALBANY – Jewell W. Godin, 78, passed away at her home on Friday, September 08, 2006. Born in Colonie, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Hazel Meisner. She was an Albany resident for most of her life. Jewell is the beloved wife of 48 years to Leo E. Godin, Jr. She is the beloved mother of Leo E. Godin III and Jacqueline L. Godin, both of Albany, Edward Taylor of Saratoga and Sandra L. Anderson of Edmeston, NY. She is the cherished grandmother of Leo IV, Luke, Douglas, Jenny and Jimmy. Also surviving are two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Jewell was the sister of the late Julius, Jimmy, Charlie and Ken Meisner, Irene Anderson, Dorothy Stubblebine and Sally Bates.
Funeral services will be Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Albany Rural Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made at newcomerfamily.com
