Jill M. Carpenter , 56, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2013 at Ellis hospital with her family by her side. She was born in Plattsburgh, NY to Jean Young and the late Ralph Carpenter.
She attended Mercy High School and then graduated from Guilderland High School. Jill enjoyed cooking, the outdoors,and spending time with her animals, but mostly loved being a mom.
In addition to her Mother, Jill was survived by her adored son, Joshua Whittaker, her sister, Julie (Ted) Simmons, her brothers, Paul Carpenter and Scott Cullum. She is the cherished aunt of, Tyler Simmons, Ethan and Carli Carpenter and Alex Cullum. She is also survived by many loving cousins, her canine companion, Stella and feline friend, Izzy.
The family would like to extend gratitude to Jill's close friends and neighbors for all of their care and compassion.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, Sunday, December 15, 2013 at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany, New York. Funeral services will be held at a later date.
