Jo Ann Bieber

GUILDERLAND – Jo Ann (Leto) Bieber, 58, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at home, surrounded by her loving family. Jo Ann was born in Albany to the late Joseph Salvatore Leto Jr. and Mary McCoy Hamel Leto. In addition to her parents Jo Ann was predeceased by her brother, Jerome J. Leto.
Jo Ann was the sole proprietor of Design Studio Hair and Wig Salon, 1824 Western Ave., Albany. Jo Ann had worked as a stylist in the capital district for 40 years. Having been a talented woman, Jo Ann was well skilled in almost every type of home improvement. She enjoyed home remodeling and was accomplished in carpentry, electrical work, tiling as well as dabbling in photography. Her interests included traveling, SCUBA diving, music, bird watching and spending time with her family and friends.
Jo Ann is survived by her cherished sons; Erik Justin Bieber and his wife Marissa ( Sciarrino ) Bieber and Scott Robert Lomonoco; her adored grandson, Anthony; her beloved brothers, Duane Leto Myott, Daniel J. Leto and Joseph S. Leto III. She also leaves behind a great number of family, cousins, friends and clients who were very dear to her. Jo Ann will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Capital District Cancer Resource foundation 1003 Loudon Road, PO Box 610, Latham, 12110 c/o New York Oncology and Hematology (NYOH), in Jo Ann's memory.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 at the funeral Home. Burial will be at the privacy of the family.
