Jo-Anne Corey

Jo-Anne L Corey, 94, of Colonie passed away after a brief illness. She was born November 28, 1928 to the late John J. and Mildred Coons.

Prior to her marriage, Jo-Anne was employed at A&P in the accounting Dept. In 1951, she married her beloved husband, Nelson and they started their family. It was her greatest joy to be a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was always available to lend a helping hand and spread her love to her family. Jo-Anne enjoyed trips to the New Jersey shore, gardening and the NY Yankees. She was a communicant of St John's Lutheran Church.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her beloved husband of 61 years, Nelson.

Jo-Anne is survived by her brother John J. Coons. She is the loving mother to Donna L. Drew, Robin C. DiGiacomo (Daniel), and Lisa C. Orsini (Paul). She is also survived by 7 grandchildren Tamara, Taryn, Chelsie, Caitlin, Dayna, Connor and Brittany, great grandchildren, Hunter, Isabelle, Avery, Gianna, Peyton, Danielle, and Cavan as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thurs. May 18 from 4-6 at New Comer, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd. Watervliet, NY. A service will take place on Fri May 19 at 11am.

Interment to follow at Memory Gardens cemetery.
