COLONIE – Joan Ann Decker, 61, passed into eternal rest on Sunday, May 15, 2011 at Albany Medical Center. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Frances (Piechnik) Pszeniczny, Sr. Joan Ann was a graduate of St. Casimir's School and Albany High School. Since 1974, she was the payroll clerk for the Salvation Army and was an outstanding and dedicated employee. Joan Ann had unconditional love for family and friends. She enjoyed family gatherings, playing bingo, bowling and going to the shopping outlets. Joan Ann will be sadly missed by her daughter Judith Ann and son-in-law, Joseph Kennedy and her grandchildren, Brittany and Joey. She is also survived by her sisters, Fran Graver, Mary Ann New, Josephine Barcomb and Theresa (Raymond) Schmid. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews, especially David, Katie and Mary for their devotional love. Joan Ann was predeceased by her brother, Michael J. Pszeniczny, Jr. and her sister, Catherine Floeser. Joan Ann's family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff in the Neuroscience I.C.U. for their compassionate care.
Funeral services will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
