Joan Brunet

Guilderland – Joan Elizabeth Brunet passed away on Monday August 26, 2013 at her home. She was born in Albany on October 22, 1935 to Eugene and Alice Gregory. After marrying Robert L. Brunet she moved to Guilderland to raise her family. Joan was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Robert; sisters, Catherine Leonardi, Suzanne Gioeni, Nancy Gregory and Patricia Kane; brothers, James, John, Thomas and David Gregory. She is survived by her children; Robert Michael (Anne)of Colonie, William Joseph (Colleen) of Clifton Park, John David of Guilderland , Scott Michael (Tammy)of Colonie, her ten grandchildren; Maureen (Robert) (Forchilli), Bobby, Katelyn, Zachary, Brittany, Carissa, Sidney, Jace, Billy and Ryan (Brunet) her five great grandchildren; Derek, Molly, Owen (Forchilli) Bella and Dominik (Brunet) In addition she is survived by her brother Daniel Gregory, sisters in law; Patricia Gregory, Gerry Gregory, and Carol Gregory, brothers in law; Sammy Gioeni, Richard Leonardi and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grandnephews and cousins. Joan was a homemaker who always put her family's needs above her own. Joan welcomed all who entered her home with gracious hospitality. She prided herself on her impeccable taste in decorating and was passionate about the consistent upkeep of her home. She loved shopping and spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Joan was always willing and eager to attend her grand children's school plays, awards ceremonies and sporting events. Joan enjoyed spending time with her American bulldog Max while keeping up with current events.
