Joan E. Casey

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the departing of our loving mother, who had passed over into eternal life Wednesday, December 18, 2024. 

Joan Brooks-Casey, was born on September 5, 1931, to Harold and Ruth McDonough in Pittsfield, Mass. She was the oldest of three siblings (predeceased), Ray, Nancy and Madelyn, and two loving daughters, Julie and Gertrude. 

She is survived by eight children, Hiram, Randall, Beverly, Raymond, Dorothy, Kimberly, Lisa and David, and many grands (21) great (37) and two great-grands.

Joan embraced her belief in Christ Jesus, and always shared her faith with those around her. She was known for her vibrant spirit and often reached out to anyone in need of help. Her favorite pastimes, besides being with family and friends, was to play scrabble, rummy, and listen to her music, especially her son Ray's CD's!

Joan will be remembered for her extraordinary strength and resilience in life as well as the love nad light she brought into so many lives. She will be deeply missed and will forever live on in our hearts. May her soul rest in peace.

Visitation will take place on Friday, December 27, 2024, from 10:00 am - 11:30 am with a Funeral Service to begin at 11:30 am, at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie NY, 12205. Interment will follow at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd., Schuylerville NY 12871.
