GUILDERLAND – Joan D. Maud, 71, died suddenly on Saturday, June 11, 2005 at the Albany Memorial Hospital.
Joan was born on November 14, 1933 in Albany to the late Joseph and Ida (Proskin) Carmello. She graduated from Philip Schuyler in 1951.
Joan was a clerk for Fleet Services in Menands for 12 years before retiring in 2000. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, family and friends. She was a former resident of Voorheesville for 35 years before moving to Guilderland.
Joan is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Robert O. Maud; her children, Susan (Norman) Chambers, Christine (Stephen) Radau, David Maud and Dana (Ted) Maranos; her siblings, Elaine Scaccia, John (Nancy) Carmello, Dolores Murphy, Jeanette (James) DeMarco, Joseph (Carol) Carmello, William (Judy) Carmello, Ronald (Joan) Carmello and Thomas Carmello: her grandchildren, Alex, Ashley, Stella and Olivia. She was also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother-in-law, John Scaccia.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home 343 New Karner Road, Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
