Joan C. DeMarco, 86, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024, with daughter by her side.
Born on December 1, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Beatrice (Jump) Salisbury.
Joan was a caregiver to her late husband, Anthony, which she did with great strength and love. Prior to his passing, she worked at Walmart as a Cashier for over 15 years; she was dedicated to those she worked with. Joan was an avid card player, and enjoyed 500 Rummy and Solitaire, and also enjoyed going to the casino. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her children, Anthony (Capri) DeMarco, and Diane (Arthur) Burnley; her grandchildren Cory (Megan), Casey (Chyna), and Toni; her great grandchildren Atticus, Amalys, Brogan, Jagger, and Eleanor; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband Anthony, Joan is predeceased by her sisters Ruth Marie Palma, Beverly Jean Palmatier, Emma Keyser, and Velda Bever; her brothers Morris, Miner, and Joseph Salisbury.
Friends and Family are invited to attend a Graveside Service on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 11:00 am in Memory Gardens Cemetery, 983 Watervliet Shaker Rd, Albany, NY 12205. Please arrive at 10:45am, and meet inside of the Cemetery Gate to join the procession.
