Joan F. Grattan

NISKAYUNA-Joan F. Grattan, 74, of Niskayuna passed away on Friday, April 26, 2013 at Ellis Hospital following an illness. She was born in Albany, NY the daughter of the late William and Emma Welfinger. Joan retired from Preferred Data in Albany after many years as a Data Entry Operator. She was a loving devoted mother and grandmother. Joan was "Mimi" to her grandchildren Mariah and Jesse and they were the apple of her eye.
Joan is survived by her children John E. Grattan of Schenectady, Kimberly Zeltins (Randy Hayner) of Niskayuna and William C. Grattan (Clarissa) of Glenville. She is also survived by her grandchildren Mariah Zeltins, Jesse Zeltins, John Paul Grattan and Heather Grattan, her sisters Marilyn Starker, Shirley Gressens and Emma Burnett and by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Joan was predeceased by her husband John P. Grattan and by her brother William Welfinger.
Calling hours will be held from 10 AM to 11 AM on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie with a funeral service to follow at 11 AM.
Interment will be at Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Joan.
