Joan Foster

ALBANY- Joan Foster, 79, passed away peacefully in her residence on October 11th, 2015. She was born in Albany, NY, to the late Clyde and Geraldine Graves.

Joan graduated from St. John's High school in 1954.
She was the lead actress in many of her high school plays.
Upon graduating she started a job in the Department of Health as a Secretary where she ultimately left to raise her children.
She was a devoted Mother and gave all of her love to her two boys.
Along with working in the Department of Health, she also worked as a Teachers Aide until the school she worked for closed.
She retired from a part time job at Wendy's as a Hostess, where she received many compliments from her customers.
In her spare time she volunteered at the Maywood School, Cub Scouts, Little League and was a Room Mother for six years.

She loved animals, especial cats and always had at least one, usually two of them, as pets. She also made sure any stray cats in the neighborhood were fed.

In her retirement she enjoyed reading and watching TV and Movies.
She also enjoyed talking to her friends Mary Nobles, Terry Collins, Dee McCue and Pat Danner.

In addition to her parents, Joan is predeceased by her husband William Foster.

She will be be forever missed by her sons; Edward Rodriguez, and Michael Rodriguez, daughter in laws; Lynne Rodriguez and Stevie Rodriguez, and her Grandson Roman.

To honor Joan's wishes, she will be cremated with a private service that will held for the immediate family at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for you to consider a donation to be made in Joan's name to the Humane Society.
