Joan G. Couture

COLONIE – Joan Gardner Couture, 80, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at St. Peter's Hospice Inn after a long illness. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Edith Gardner.

Joan enjoyed playing cards with her card club on Wednesdays for 50 years. No man could ever interfere with this activity. Joan loved to play the slots at the Racino and going to her camp in Wells, NY during the spring and summer season for 33 years.

Along with her parents, Joan was predeceased by her children Frederick (Skip) Walker and Wendy Walker Creazzo.

She will be missed by her husband of 35 years, Albert E. Couture, Sr.; step-sons Albert, Jr., Richard, Bruce, Kevin and Christopher Couture; step-daughters Constance Shakow and Sandra LePage; sister Shirley Weston of North Carolina; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; niece Susan of Connecticut; many nephews and dear friends Don and Pat Klimchak of Colonie.

No funeral services will be held.
