Joan Ann Gifford

Joan Ann Gifford, 86, of Watervliet, passed away peacefully at her home on May 6, 2021.
Joan was born in Rensselaer and was the daughter of the late Charles & Margaret Gifford.
In business Joan filled many rolls over the years, while always enjoying her friends, family and her great love for animals. She never let a stray cat or dog go without a home. In her later years Joan was watched over and cared for by many. Special thanks to Bonnie and Linda for always thinking of their Aunt Joan.
Joan's seven siblings Kenneth, Albert, Betty, Mildred, Marvin, Margaret and Raymond, all predeceased her. Joan also joins her beloved daughter Donna, who passed 14 years ago. Joan is survived by her son Chris (Kathleen) Burby and her three grandsons, Joshua (Kristen), Jacob and Jordan, along with many loving and caring nieces and nephews.
Services will be held privately at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to: Cancer Research institute of NY or a charity of your choice.
