Joan L. Sorvari

LATHAM – Joan L. Sorvari, 82, passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Albany Medical Center. Born in Clinton, MA, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Ester (Lower) Lee. Joan was the beloved wife of the late Harold E. Sorvari. She was also predeceased by her stepmother, Evelyn Lee and brother David Lee.
Joan resided in Colonie most of her life. She was a homemaker and took great care of her family. Joan later retired as a book keeper. Joan's greatest joy was spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed time spent at Saratoga Lake and Lake George, and vacationing in Hawaii.
Joan is survived by her dear sister, Judy (William) Carmello and sister-in-law Anne Lee. She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Cheryle Caulford; son Gary (Debbie) Sorvari; grandchildren Shannon (Kurt) McOmber, Sean (Cassie) Connor, Sarah Caulford, Tara Sorvari and Chris Sorvari; great-grandchild Sammy Connor, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Mohawk and Hudson River Humane Society, 3 Oakland Avenue, Menands, NY 12204 or the Alzheimer's Association of NENY, Pine West Plaza, Bldg 4, Suite 405, Washington Avenue Ext., Albany, NY 12208 in Joan's name.
