Joan M. Kirker

Colonie - Joan M. Kirker passed away August 11, 2014 at the Community Hospice of St. Peter's surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Jessie (Eisler) Kirker.
She enjoyed gardening, shopping and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren. Joan was a hard worker her entire life and had recently retired.
Joan is survived by her daughters; Barbara (David) Kozel-Kieru, Tracy (Chris) Kirker-Godfrey and her grandchildren; Michael (Jenna) Godfrey, Danielle Godfrey, Leah Kieru and Sara Kieru. She also leaves behind her siblings; Doris (Bob) Hodge, Barbara (Eddie) Serafino, Jerry (Sheilah) Kirker, Sally (Jerry) Sgambelluri and Nancy (Ray) Lindh and by many loving nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank St. Peter's Hospice for the care and compassion given to their Mom.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home August 14th, 2014 from 5:00PM- 7:00PM. Immediately following the calling hours will be a service to honor her life. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Hospice Inn at St. Peter's.
