Joan M. Landry

COLONIE – Joan M. Landry, 75, passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2012 with her loving family by her side. Born in Fultonville, she was the daughter of the late Ward and Irene Pierce. She worked for The Anderson Group for thirty-five years before her retirement. Joan enjoyed her camp on Sacandaga Lake. She liked knitting, scratch off lottery tickets and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Joan loved all animals, especially her German shepherds.

In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her son, Christopher Warner. Joan is the beloved mother of Shelley (Matt) Asprion, Lisha (Pat) Pinto and Joanne (Randy) Griffith and mother-in-law of Elaine Warner. She is the cherished grandmother of Jesse (Mary), Melyssa, Danielle, Corie, Douglas, Kierra, Aimee, Jennifer and Amanda. She is the adored great-grandmother of Anna, Leah, Anthony, Isiah, Fantasia, Julieanna,Tanner andTreavor. Also surviving is her loving sister, Judy (Bob) Veghte and several nieces and nephews.


Funeral services will be Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will precede the service from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. At the request of the family and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated to Mohawk & Hudson River Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, NY 12204 in memory of Joan M. Landry.
