Joan T. Mineau

Loudonville-Joan Theodora Mineau born April 4, 1947, died peacefully on October 12, 2022. Beloved daughter of the late Constance (O'Connor) and Louis A. Mineau.

Joan was a graduate of Blessed Sacrament School, Class of 1961 and a graduate of Vincentian Institute, Class of 1965. She received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the College of Saint Rose in Albany. Joan served as an elementary teacher and reading specialist at several area schools. For over 25 years she was a consultant with Houghton Mifflin Publishing Company. Most recently, she served the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany in the Human Resource Dept.

Joan was a generous and caring person.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Gayl (Jack) Doherty, Joan is survived by her siblings, Louis (Donna Deming) Mineau, Robert (Rosemary) Mineau, Constance Jalet, Margaret Mineau, Gerald (Kathleen) Mineau, Ted Mineau, Gregory "Pete" (Nancy) Mineau, Paul (Bridget) Mineau; nieces & nephews, Ryan Doherty, Dr. Meghan (Roger Buttles) Doherty, Brendan (Sophie) Doherty, Anne (Christopher) Manzella, Emily (David LaGrange) Mineau, Sarah (Hope Hall) Mineau, Jenna (Tim) Paseka, Ellen (Kenneth Wilhelm) Mineau, Caroline (Christopher) Colwell, Jessica (Josh) Bradshaw, Michelle Mineau, Nicole Mineau, Jacqueline Mineau, Lauren (Steve Hefferle) Mineau, Michael Mineau, Joseph Mineau and great nieces and nephews: Oona, Ione and Otis Buttles, Noah, Renee and Sam Manzella, Grace Seager, Jack Paseka, Olivia and Joseph Colwell, Wyatt and Emma Bradshaw, John and Scarlett Batease and many dear cousins and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 10am at Blessed Sacrament Church, 607 Central Avenue, Albany, NY 12206. Relatives and friends are invited to visit the church from 9-10am prior to Mass. Interment will be private.
