Joan O'Bryan

Guilderland- Joan A. O'Bryan, 71, died on Tuesday, March 01, 2005, at Albany Medical Center Hospital. Born in Troy she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Marie Silvernell. Joan had worked for Sears in Colonie Center in the Human Resources Dept retiring after 20 years of service. After her retirement she went on to work for various doctor's offices in the area as a receptionist. Throughout her years she enjoyed gardening and working outdoors in the summer.
Joan is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years Earl P. O'Bryan of Guilderland, her four children; Earl O'Bryan and wife Cynthia of Esperance, Colleen Bondi and husband Gerald of Guilderland, Walter O'Bryan of Guilderland, and Thomas O'Bryan and wife Asha of Niskayuna, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Marie McMahon and husband Dr. William McMahon of Springville, NY, her brother Floyd Silvernell and wife Joyce of Slingerlands, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 3rd at St. Gabriels Church, where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
