TROY – Joan M. Reamer, 72, of Troy, passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2005 at St. Mary's Hospital after a long illness. She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Edward and Catherine Pierce. Mrs. Reamer was a Capital District resident for all of her life. Joan was a graduate of the Academy of the Holy Names High School. She enjoyed listening to music and singing. Joan especially loved shopping at the Christmas Tree Shoppe and spending time with her family. Joan is the beloved wife of the late Donald F. Reamer, Sr. She is the devoted mother of Mary Carol (Hamid) Nemati', Mark J. (Wendy) Reamer, Adele M. (Roger) Livingston, Christopher D. Reamer and Donald F. (Debbie) Reamer. She is the sister of Edward Pierce, II, Richard Pierce, Robert Pierce, Paul Pierce and Barbara Barr. She is the cherished grandmother of Daniel Nemati', Joe Reamer, Jonna Reamer, Roger J., Blake S. and Troy M. Livingston and Alexis Reamer. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend memorial services on Friday evening at 6:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). A calling hour will precede the service from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Albany Medical Center Children's Hospital, 43 New Scotland Ave., Albany, NY 12208 in memory of Joan M. Reamer.
