Albany - Joan K. Tidings, 87, of Albany, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at her home with her loving family by her side.
Born and raised in Albany, Joan was the daughter of the late John and Anne (Meehan) Lill. She was the devoted wife to the late James Tidings. They were married 37 years until his passing in 1993.
Loving mother of the late Diane Buchanan, the late David Tidings (Ellen), Donna Tidings and John Tidings (Denise).
Cherished grandmother of James Tidings, Michael Buchanan, Patrick Tidings, Colin Tidings, Natalie Tidings and Aidan Tidings.
Dearest sister to the late Ginger Relation.
For the last 10 years Joan has resided in Colonie. She was formerly employed as a secretary at Maria College for over 20 years where she retired. Joan was an avid reader and crocheter. She also enjoyed cooking and baking.
We say goodbye to one tough Matriarch of the Tidings family and now she can be reunited with the family we have lost. God bless you Mom and May you Rest in Peace
Interment will be privately held at the convenience of the family.
