ALBANY- JoAnn Cartwright, 71, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2017.
JoAnn was born on December 15, 1945 daughter of the late George and Mica Habiniak in Albany.
JoAnn was a devoted wife and mother. She was an active volunteer both within the church and other organizations. She was caring, compassionate and always willing to lend a hand. JoAnn was full of life, always laughing, dancing, cooking and enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends.
JoAnn is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, William J. Cartwright; her children, Bryan (Joey Lynn) Cartwright, Jason (Ann) Cartwright, Jarrett (Diana) Cartwright; grandchildren, Alyssa, Ava, Jack, Mitchell, Natalie, Layla, Jordan, Paige, Madelyn; brothers, George (Sharon) Habiniak, Steve Habiniak and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was predeceased by her grandparents, Joseph and Angelina Genovese.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 1pm at The Parish of Mater Christi, formerly St. Catherine of Siena, 40 Hopewell St, Albany, NY 12208. Calling hours will be held from 11am - 1pm at the church prior to Mass.
