Joann M. Fonda

SCHENECTADY - JoAnn M. Fonda, 64, passed away Friday, December 2, 2022, at Ellis Hospital after a short illness. She was born to the late George and Dolores Diem of Scotia.

JoAnn was predeceased by her husband, Robert Fonda. She is survived by her sisters, Beverly Diem, Cheryl Diem, and Lisa Sarnacki all of Scotia; niece, Jameelah Burnett; nephews, Tshombe (Amber) Burnett and Richard (Christine) Sarnacki Jr.; great nieces, Olivia, Alanna, Vanessa and Lyric; and great nephew, Oliver all of Scotia. She is also survived by Aunt Kathleen Warren of Utah; Uncle Peter Diem of Albany and several cousins.

JoAnn was retired from the New York State Department of Education and was a member of Greater Grace Community Church in Malta.

Calling hours will be held on December 8, 2022 from 4pm-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, NY 12205. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 10am at the funeral home.
