Joann Skinner, 93, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at her home with her family by her side.
Joann was the daughter of the late Dayton and Marjorie Donnelly.
She was the devoted wife to the late Duane Skinner.
Joann was a life member of Saint Teresa of Avila which later merged with Mater Christi.
She loved her many bulldogs, gardening, going to the beach and most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents and her husband she was predeceased by her brother Dayton Donnelly.
She is survived by her children, Peter (Teresa) Skinner and Susan Skinner. She is also survived by her grandchildren Kathleen (Jason) Bogucki, Jeffrey (Sarah) Castillo, Joann Skinner and Emily Skinner and her great grandchildren Kaitlin, Lauren, Ceci, Max and Jacob.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY 12189 on Thursday March 30, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Mater Christi, 40 Hopewell Street, Albany, NY12208 on Friday March 31, 2023 at 9:00 am. Burial will be private.
