Joanne H. Ziegler

LOUDONVILLE – Joanne H. Ziegler, 63, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at The Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, surrounded by her loving family.

Joanne was born on February 4, 1950 in Albany and was the daughter of the late John L. and Joan (Flynn) McAuliffe. She was a customer service representative in the bridal registry at JC Penney at Crossgates Mall. She enjoyed the Racino, trips with her husband to their home in Myrtle Beach, but most especially spending time with her loving family.

Joanne is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 39 years, William J. Ziegler; her loving and devoted children, Joanne (Ken) Taylor, Jennifer (Mike) Connell, and William J. Ziegler Jr. all of Loudonville; her eight loving grandchildren, Jenna, Brandon, Jessica, Emma, Cole, Jack, Christian, and Kaylee; her loving sister and best friend, Jacqueline (the late Maurice) O'Connell also loving siblings, Joseph (Nancy) McAuliffe, Jean Knight, and John (Carol) McAuliffe; and many nieces and nephews. She will be joining her cherished friend, Nancy Beleglow. Joanne is also survived by special friends, George and Joan Benoit, Carolyn and Ray McDermott, Joanne Cerneck, Ray and Kay Huhn, and Linda Abrams.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private at St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands.
