Joanne Reimer

ALTAMONT – Joanne Reimer, 62, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 surrounded by her loving family after a long, courageous battle with lung cancer. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of Joan (Hughes) Duncan.
Joanne was predeceased by her children, Peter Nardilillo and Tracey Reimer, and her aunt Barb (Galea).
Joanne is survived by her mother, Joan Duncan; sister, Denise Futia (John Cummings); brother, John Duncan; loving nephew Scott Futia; cherished niece and nephew Gabriella and Anthony Futia, and beloved cousins Steven, Gregory and Dillon Galea.
Joanne loved cooking, going to the drive-in, and traveling to Cape Cod and Florida. She especially loved spending time with Anthony, Gabby, and Dillon.
The family would like to thank St. Peter's Hospital and their Rehabilitation Center, the Dutch Manor Nursing Home, and her special aide Joyce, for all of their loving care.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:30 am at Blessed Sacrament Church, Albany. Calling hours will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
