ALBANY – JoAnne (Wright) Gibson, 71, passed away Monday, July 9, 2012 at her sister's residence in Heath Spring, SC after a brief illness. Born in Heath Spring on June 11, 1941, she was the daughter of the late James and Catherine Wright.
JoAnne was predeceased by her husband, James Gibson and daughter Jo-Catherine Tibbs.
She is survived by daughter, Rosemary (TyRon) Conty; five grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; three sisters; two brothers and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11:30 am at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 86 Schuyler Avenue, Albany. Calling hours will precede the service from 10:30 am to 11:30 am at the church. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery, Albany.
