KNOX- Jocelyn C. Fairlee, 51, passed away peacefully at home after a long, but courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, July 17th, 2016 with her loving family by her side.
Jocelyn was born in Red Hook, NY on July 29th, 1964 to Harry "Skip" and Geraldine Conn. Jocelyn graduated from Red Hook High School in 1982 and attended SUNY Cobleskill. After her education she began working at Malcolm Pirnie, now ARCADIS, for over 25 years as a Senior Project Administrator. Jocelyn had a strong passion for cats and dogs, specifically German Shepherds. During her free time, she loved to collect and decorate her home with antiques. She was a great cook, enjoyed watching cooking shows and loved experimenting with new recipes. Jocelyn constantly had a connection with the outdoors and observing nature with her family at home and on trips. She was heavily involved with her son's high-school and college athletics, along with supporting and fundraising for a large range of cancer research. But most of all, Jocelyn truly cherished her time with her husband, son, family and friends. To her family, she was the strongest and most positive person they knew. Even during her difficult times with cancer, she always smiled and lived by the motto, "It is, what it is".
Jocelyn is predeceased by her Father, Harry "Skip" Conn.
She is survived by her husband, Roy, of 24 years, along with her son, Travis, her mother, Geraldine Conn her sisters; Jodi Almgren and husband, Carl, and Jill Smith and husband, Gary, her in-laws, Toot and Roy Fairlee, her sister in-law, Lisa Ericson and husband, John, brother in-law, Jeff Fairlee, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205, on Sunday July 24th, 2016 from 4:00pm-7:00pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home, on Monday, July 25, 2016 at 10:00am. Burial will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, Berne, NY.
