Jodie Keels

TROY-Jodie Keels entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Saint Mary's Hospital in Troy, New York. Jodie was born on October 20, 1936 in Greeleyville, South Carolina to the late York and Lille Keels. He attended the C. E. Murray High School. Jodie relocated to Baltimore, Maryland at an early age and to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and then to Troy, New York where he has lived for the past twenty five years.

Jodie has been known to be quite a story teller and enjoyed sharing a good story with family and friends, you could always count on a good laugh. He will be remembered for his kindness and willingness to help any one and everyone. Jodie has also served as a caregiver for Ronald Dukes for several years.

Jodie will be dearly missed and leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, one brother York Keels (Charlene), one sister Mary Lee of White Plains, New York, a loving and caring nephew and caregiver John York (Margaret).

Calling hours will be held from 10 to 12 PM on Friday, July 5, 2013 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie with a funeral service to follow at 12 PM.
