Joel "Nannie": Perez, 33, departed this life on Sunday, September 1, 2019.
Joel was born April 28, 1986 in Hudson, NY to the union of Joelle Perez DeJesus and James Perez Sr.
Joel received his early education in the Hudson City School District until his family relocated to Albany, NY. Before moving to Albany Joel developed a Love and Talent for music his involvement with the Columbia County Youth Project gave him a platform for his musical talent to be heard and this gift blossomed into something Awesome. At any talent show you would always hear him sing "I Believe I Can Fly."
Joel was predeceased by his maternal Grandparents Rose and Joe Adams, (1)Aunt Jonetia DeBerry and God Father Vernon Cross. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother Joelle Perez DeJesus(Carlos-Stepfather) of Albany, NY, Father James Perez of Florida, (6) brothers James, Jamar, and Jarrod of Albany, NY Jahad, Muhammad and Ayyub of Troy, NY (2) sisters Jordan of Albany, NY and Angelica of Virginia (3)uncles John Adams and Jarrett Starr of Albany, NY and Arthur Powell of Flint Michigan (4) aunts Rachel Adams and Rachelle Heath of Albany, NY Yvonne Richardson of Florida and Bonita Powell of Kingston, NY (1) niece Kiara Perez (1) nephew James of Albany, NY. Stepmother Catherine Tower of Troy NY, God Mother Joyce Cross of Florida, a special cousin Jahmyrah Adams of Albany, NY, The Frenzy of Albany, NY, Crook MOB of Albany, NY, best friends: Clint, Cory, Willie, Kamal, Stephan and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and other relatives and friends. To know Joel was to Love Joel. He was like no one else. #It'sDifferent.
